DEER TICK - 01/02/2011

of The Deer Tick is another of the few shows I've attended without having heard almost nothing about previously, in this case only a couple of songs on Youtube and something I have uploaded on your myspace . I like to do this from time to time I like to discover groups and hooked to your music through direct experience. It is risky, but if you come to engage in this way, then you know better when you listen at home. .

first thing I can say is that Deer Tick sound so conjoined. In their songs dominated by soft melodies, although they can switch to putting together aggressive perfectly. I like the attitude of the group, but perhaps the lead singer of verbiage at times, they noticed a lack of "tables" on stage, but it is normal, the group straight out of high school. I think these " yogurines " still have much work ahead, but without doubt, seen it, run on the right track.

.
The group consists of 5 kids: Dennis M. Ryan , a huge battery lumberjack look, which is a show itself, well delivered throughout the concert and encouraged to sing on the last leg of the concert. Besides his sense of rhythm is enormous. Bassist: Christopher D. Ryan is dedicated to follow the rest for me is the least free, the least spark off and the less virtuous of all. Rob B. Crowell on keyboards and sax , brings warmth and atmosphere to the songs. Ian PO 'Neil who delighted us with several solos to also does vocals guitar and even sang the odd song. McCauley, frontman of the group, is a very talkative person who was very participatory with the public throughout the concert, getting a walk among the respectable during one of his songs. It has an interesting voice and singing style and appearance that reminds me in some sections to a certain Curt Covain .

.
During his performance as they strolled through the full range of playing styles: Indie, Grunge , Country, Rock ... ... Her Songs are interpreted with great exuberance but fail to connect at all with the public. Enter the code does not highlight anything memorable, even if I have to stay with a song I'll stick with " Ashem " Make Believe "and especially" Mange "a very sound long Stoniano . Anecdotally noted that ended the concert with the legendary Richie song Valens "La Bamba."

.
I disliked at all, but neither came to convince me, so I think that follow from a distance ... ... ... ... ... For now.
